About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled PACS Administrator to join our team in Sherman Oaks, CA. As a PACS Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to ensure the efficient and effective storage, retrieval, and distribution of medical images. You will work closely with our healthcare professionals to ensure that our PACS system meets their needs and that patient data is kept secure and confidential. Your expertise in PACS administration will be critical to the success of our healthcare organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in PACS administration.
  • Experience with PACS systems such as GE Centricity, McKesson, or Philips iSite.
  • Strong knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with PACS systems in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Experience with storage technologies such as SAN or NAS.
  • Certification in PACS administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the PACS system to ensure the efficient and effective storage, retrieval, and distribution of medical images.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that the PACS system meets their needs and that patient data is kept secure and confidential.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the PACS system, including hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to the use of the PACS system.
  • Train healthcare professionals on the use of the PACS system and provide ongoing support and education.

Skills:

As a PACS Administrator, you will utilize your strong technical skills and knowledge of PACS systems to manage and maintain our PACS system. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that the system meets their needs and that patient data is kept secure and confidential. Your problem-solving and analytical skills will be critical to troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the PACS system. Additionally, your ability to develop and implement policies and procedures related to the use of the PACS system will be essential to ensuring its efficient and effective operation. Finally, your excellent communication and training skills will be critical to training healthcare professionals on the use of the PACS system and providing ongoing support and education.
