We're searching for a talented and enthusiastic Financial Analyst II to join our team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting our department by performing diverse financial and data analyses, creating insightful healthcare utilization reports, and contributing to important projects. This is your chance to leverage your expertise in SQL, data analysis, and financial reporting to make a real difference in the lives of others.
What You'll Do:
Data Storytelling: Prepare standard and ad-hoc healthcare financial utilization reports, including rate development, financial reconciliations, and pharmacy reports, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Trend Analysis: Analyze financial healthcare data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, providing valuable information for strategic decision-making.
SQL Expertise: Use your SQL skills to extract data from databases, write queries, and develop insightful analytical reports.
Collaboration & Communication: Act as a liaison with IT and Healthcare Informatics departments, effectively communicating requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data analysis reports through quality assurance and peer review.
Project Support: Contribute to departmental projects, such as budget analysis and researching financial healthcare utilization trends.
What You'll Bring:
Healthcare Focus: A minimum of three (3) years of financial or data analysis experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
SQL Proficiency: A moderate skill level in SQL and Access (or equivalent database) data manipulation is essential.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint, including meticulous documentation of database queries and processes.
Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
Teamwork: A strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and support colleagues.
